Untitled                         Hello & welcome:

Hello & welcome to our mag. This is our first go at this so please be patient. This mag is open to all. It is written by me m,c, & Tim & Sean & Si & is about our views on airguns & shooting. If you want to you can email us at                                         airgunningmad@aol.com.

I will tell you something about myself. M.C.

I have been shooting all sorts of guns for 28 years . I started with airguns in the first 6 years rough shooting & when I was 17 I had my first shotgun which I used for rough shooting until I started clays, which I did for 4 years, before I went back to rifle shooting in the form of .22 rim fire, at which point I did my back in & did nothing for a couple of years. But 8 years ago I got back into air gunning big time, and when I am able to move all I want to do is go shooting be it rough shooting or just plinking in the garden.

When I go rough shooting I have a large disadvantage to overcome with my back, as I find it hard to get down & dirty which you have to do to get in close to the quarry for a 12 foot pound airifle, so my hunting combo is a modified Theoben Rapid 7  with a green laser & a smart sight from Simons. The Rapid (7) will take out vermin at 60 yards in its current set up which gives me a good chance.

My other half has just bought me the airgun world video for xmas, & I have to say it’s the best present she has brought me not for the reason you think, let me explain, I've taken about 6 people rough shooting over the years & till I met Si they were all what I’d call amateurs, so I had nothing to compare myself to, but now I have, & I think I do well.

At this point I would like to say how good the video is & how real it is, nice one. And keep it real boys as the misses are more important then the kills as far as I am concerned, ps I like the AR5, but no mag ? The video is recommended.

My hobs are shooting and biking, my guns are a Logun mk 1, with a nrvs night sight, &  a mk 3 Daystate, which has a side wheel Nikko sterling 10x50x60 on it, which I use for F.T and field work,   or a 6x40 Nikko sterling if I'm in the woods, ps don't knock it just because it's cheap, it has a larger picture than a zoom, and lets in more light than a 40mm zoom, and 6 mag is perfect for the wood.

I've been shooting airguns for 30 years, and in that time have shot lots of other types of guns. From 22 rim fire, to 303s and I  like them all. My back is also bad so I can't go shooting very often but I will write about it when I do.

My main job is to do the website

                                  si

Si is gun mad. He has the largest collection of guns out of the 4 of us. He has about 20 all together, this is a list of his best guns, a Theoben mk1 Rapid 7, Daystate Harrier x with a thumbhole stock, Career 707, Weihrauch hw 97 and a 77.

He's a good hunter and fit, but it's a very busy time in his life at the moment, that's why I'm writing this for him, but he will write for you as soon as it slows down for him.

                                Sean

I'm the new comer here, as I've only been into shooting seriously for 2 years, and I'm not into hunting but into target shooting big time. so you get a novices view when I write, but saying that I'm learning fast and am a member of two clubs, one pistol and the other is an F.T club and shooting runs in my family as I was brought up with guns.

I hope to do F.T and hunting F.T this year if I feel confident enough. plus my pistol which I really like.

I'm in my early 40s, I've done 22 rimfire but  at the moment I do 10 and 20 meters pistol, and F.T .

My pistols are a Webley Nemesis and a Rohm Top, my rifle is a mk 2 Logun with a  Nikko sterling 10x50x60 on it, this is my first airifle but it won't be my last.

My other hobs are computers and having fun.
