10th May 2003 -
A group of us from the official Darius website were staying at the Hilton hotel in Cardiff, having never met each other before!!! People we had only spoken to online before suddenly became real friends, and we chatted like we had known each other for years.
After the concert, we all headed back to our rooms (in the executive suite) planning to spend the rest of the night drinking and being "girlie" - but after a few minutes, a familiar figure walked down the corridor into the room adjoining one of ours - it was Pete Glenister, one of Darius's band!!!!! He was followed by Spencer Horton, another band member. Pat got chatting to Spencer and discovered that they were planning to go for a quiet drink in the hotel bar....so we did too!!!!
After just a few minutes, other band members arrived in the bar too, and then I turned to the door just as Darius himself walked in!!!!!! He was even taller than I imagined, and despite having just done a 90 minute concert, he looked wonderful! He came over and chatted to us for a few minutes, and some of the girls in the group managed to get photos taken with him before his manager dragged him away.
Next morning, after breakfast, we saw the band members in the reception area with their bags. I went back to my room to get my camera and my CD in the hope I could get their photos before they left. As I got into the lift, I saw a very familiar figure walking down the corridor...Darius!! Of course, I held the lift doors for him!!!! I spoke very briefly to him, saying how much I'd enjoyed the concert. As the doors opened, he stepped back and said "after you"......the look on my face when I got out must have been a picture!! Then Darius asked if I would like my CD cover signed, which he did - and then I had my picture taken with him before he had to leave to move on to the next venue

25th May 2003 -
Pat had arranged for a bunch of us to get into the "Meet and Greet" before the concert, the intention being to present Darius with the banner that Pat had made on behalf of the website - However, the banner got "misplaced" somewhere between Birmingham and Oxford, so this plan went out of the window.
We went down a narrow corridor and up some stairs to what I suppose must have been the "green room". Darius was there, chatting to a bunch of other people. We sat down on some sofas, waiting for our turn. He spent a few minutes with each of us individually, signing autographs etc. I asked him to sign my tour programme, which he did, but spelt my name wrong! When I pointed this out, he corrected it and put a heart over it, and said "Will this do?"...I couldn't stop grinning!! Then I asked if I could have a photo with him....he put his arm round my waist, and I put mine round his, ready for the picture....but then he asked his manager a question and started to talking to him...keeping his arm round me! My heart was pounding away at this point. Then the photo was taken and I had to leave to go and watch the concert.
