Shakin Stevens first ever hit single was Lonesome Town a small hit in 1974 in Holland
FACT NO 2
Despite Shakin Stevens first 3 singles for Epic failing to chart and Hot Dog being his 1st Chart hit Shakin Stevens 2nd hit single was Hay Mae although not listed in the Guiness Book of Hit singles the song was a small hit outside of the top 75 Marie Marie
was his 3rd hit and then he went onto great sucess
FACT NO 3
Shakin Stevens is the most successful 80's singles chart artist and that makes him in the same placing with Elvis (50's), The Beatles (60's) and Elton John (70's)
