Near Dunure is a phenomena called "The Electric Brae", (locally known as Croy Brae). An optical illusion that makes you think that your car is rolling uphill on a downhill slope. The term electric dates to a time when it was incorrectly thought to be a phenomenon caused by electricity or magnetic attraction.
