WALKWORTH BEACH
Walkworth beach - This venue consists of a beach of about 2 miles with rocks at one end and Amble harbour at the other.  The beach is a sandy and shelving beach so no waders are needed.  The species of fish likely to be caught are flatties Bass cod and whiting.  The best baits to use are worms, crab, Mackerel and squid.  With it being a beach there are no snags but the use of a grip lead is needed as there is a tide run.  Traces can be as elaborate or simple as you wish but a two or three hook trace will pick up flatties galore.  I have only fished this venue during the day but at night it looks as if it would fish brilliant.  An alternative to fishing the beach is fishing the Amble harbour.  It is a long promenade and is easy to fish with the same species being caught only problem is that it gets busy with holidaymakers so be warned.
